MY STORYBorn and raised in Miami, Janel has embraced motherhood and the healing energy of art.
Born in 1987 to Cuban and Puerto Rican parents, Janel is a self-taught photographer and artist. She graduated with a degree in nursing in 2016 and has found profound value in helping the healing of others ever since. Nursing has been a life-changing experience.
Janel has been published in various art and tattoo magazines early in her photography career. Today she’s focusing on more traditional art forms after realizing the rise of AI-generated images flooding the internet.
So what’s the big deal?
Nothing really! Janel isn’t here to knock on people who enjoy making AI-generated material; AI is a great “tool in the toolbox” for artists.
It shouldn’t be used as the only source of a project cited as an original work of art.
